over all its above average… so 4 stars

ok’ so far it’s a good story. its got a good feel … characters are the normal brand for this author… its s mix between ard and the super hero from his superhero/villain school book with alot more maturity … so this book gets 4 stars because its above average… see how i did that i used the rating system properly

DCC Easter egg

Greast sequel, some things things are missing but they will be explained in the next book. Ch 46 for DCC Easter egg that is cleverly put in(IMO).

Looking forward to a long series

I have enjoyed other works by this author, but Returner’s Defiance is on a whole other level. The world, the development of the characters, and the overall construction of the story. Chef’s kiss!!!
We have a character that knows what is coming but is still surprised at parts. We see his actions effect the world. And thank you so much for not having a truly OP protagonist. Bran toes the line for OP status, but is not unbeatable. Best kind of character, grinding their way to the top and learning as he goes.
Can’t wait for the next one!!!

A bit of a let down, but some fun to be had

I was expecting more from this arc and the way the kidnapping was handled was just so annoying. The first book had a lot more character development and heart. I will check out volume 3, but I am now gun shy on this series.

Really like both of these narrators. Look forward to these books and to the audiobooks even more. Thank you for the time and effort you 2 put into. Work really well together. Another awesome book by Bruce looking forward to more.
