The ending was quite a shocker

There were plenty of twists and turns in this one. An unmarried couple living together either their daughter have a major problem. Ash, a pediatric surgeon, asked his partner, Jo Palmer, a local actress and stay at home mom, to marry him. She declines for reasons that seem convoluted to me, and depressed by that news he has an affair with a prison psychologist who leads a double life. Both Ash and his daughter are kidnapped, although separately.
There is another storyline that is related to Tom, a detective in this continuing series. Since I haven’t read any of the others in the series, this second storyline seems unnecessary.
The resolution of the story was quite unexpected and begged for a continuation,

One of my favorite series and this book does not disappoint! If you haven't read the DCI Tom Douglas books, you are really missing out!

Amazing book & narration!

IV enjoyed this book and this narrator more than any other since I’ve been a member of Audible!! I was drawn into the plot within minutes! Highly recommend you give this book a go! There’s the best twists and turns & I just loved everything about it 😉

Excellent book!

I highly recommend this book! It was well written and narrated. The plot moved quickly which I prefer. The story was imaginative, keep the suspense at a high all the way to the end!

Exciting From Beginning Until the End

This is definitely one of the better ones in the series. It is full of excitement from the beginning and continues with great adrenaline paced turns all the way through. I’m sad it’s over. As always, there is physiological intrigue thrown in with the suspense. This book includes a nice amount of Tom Douglas and his family. I highly recommend this one!
