The eighth of nine books in the Anne Shirley series, Rilla of Ingleside was published in 1921 and was the sixth book to feature the beloved protagonist from Anne of Green Gables. Notable for being the only Canadian novel about WWI written from a woman's perspective, it is also unique in that it mentions the Gallipoli campaign and the terrible sacrifices made by Australian and New Zealand forces.

Trials of war

Enjoyed the final episode of this classic series with Blythe family. It was very entertaining and realistic the whole world dealing with WWI.

Great narration of the final, emotional book of the Anne series

Beautifully read, with sensitive voices. I love this story of building character and strength during the worst time the modern world had yet seen.

Narrator-Karen Savage

This narrator is good. My all favorite is Karen Savage. I wish she'd just do the others she didnt do. I think AGG, AWP and this one are my favotites.

Perfectly understated performance.

I loved this version of Rilla. I've found so many readings of the Anne books over-dramatic to the point of caricature. This one was very simply read with just the right emotion. Thank you!
