A classic tale that is still worth a listen.

We all know someone like Rip. An easy going guy who gets along with everyone, but is a bit on the lazy side. Some authors take hours to build a character, Irving does it in mere minutes and tells a whole story.
Unabridged
As a elementary kid, I had heard the abridged version. It does not do justice to the unabridged version and Sisco reads it well. This was one of my favorites as a child for the whimsy of the strange men in the mountains, nine pins and a 20 year nap. As an adult I love the complexity of the story and the look at American History.

The vast majority of the book was by the main narrator, so the secondary voices (possibly the main narrator taking on additional voices) was at most a minor annoyance.Main narrator was excellent; secondary ones not so
