Augustus 'Gus' Martin is an embattled LAPD negotiator. Evelyn 'Lynn' Kennedy is the new Police Commissioner hired under curious circumstances. Thrust into an explosive terrorist crisis, they must trust one another to save the lives of over thirty hostages. But as the bodies drop, what they are faced with is a chess match against the most formidable criminal mind either has ever faced. What is really happening and why? Will any hostages survive?

"RISE OF THE UNICORN" is a thought provoking, unpredictable mystery suspense/thriller that entertains and captivates while carrying a message that cuts across every class of society. Even better? You'll never see the plot twists coming.

At first I thought it was a common tale. Then the significant plot twist delves even deeper and leaves you rooting for the antagonists!

Unexpected plot twist is refreshing!

Appears to be a typical psychological thriller, but NO!!! The TWIST will leave you speechless. A GREAT discussion book for reading groups!

The character development is one of my favorite parts of a good book. And when I disliked a child & her doll, I was hooked! Then when I connected with other’s characters, it was a ‘must listen quickly’
Having a good story line with a hardy message is the best. More please!!

Knew I loved it when I disliked a character!
