River of Dreams is a story that features an intriguing cast of colorful characters in a deadly search for wealth, power and survival. It involves a vengeful female executive with a secret agenda, a couple of reckless characters driven by greed, an attractive feisty cigar-chewing female helicopter pilot, a misfit pair of military vets operating as unscrupulous soldiers of fortune, and two young prostitutes fleeing from their violent pimp. This unlikely group soon join forces, launching a quest to recover a legendary cache of priceless black emeralds in the South American jungle of Guyana. But it isn't long before they clash with each other and with a host of untold menacing threats. Man-eating crocodiles, giant anacondas, and a tribe of savage headhunters are only the beginning of the danger they face. Their path soon crosses that of an innocent Amerindian native who is simply struggling to give his family a better life, but one surprising twist after another, leads to unexpected omens of deception and death. As forces beyond their reckoning converge, they come face to face with the realization that the dense jungle holds more dangers than they thought imaginable, and the deadliest one is from within.
