Deep in the Louisiana bayou, a nightmare stalks the shadows.

When a young girl goes missing near the swamps, Lux Branson is called in to investigate. Locals whisper of the Rougarou—a Cajun werewolf said to punish the wicked. But Lux isn’t one to chase ghost stories. Until the bodies start turning up.

What begins as a routine search becomes a tense and terrifying hunt through tangled wetlands, where folklore bleeds into reality and something savage lurks just out of sight.

As the full moon rises and the line between myth and monster fades, Lux must confront a creature older than the swamp itself—and the dark truth it protects.

Rougarou is a gripping supernatural thriller rooted in Cajun legend and bayou mystery, perfect for fans of folklore-based horror and relentless female leads.

Great characters, story and plot. Enjoyable short listen. The narration was good enough, didn’t take away from the book.

Virtual voice really detracts from the good story. Inconsistent pronunciation. Deserves a human voice. Author deserves better.

Good story. Horrible virtual voice

The story was likeable enough, but the virtual voice absolutely killed it. Multiple mispronunciations of very simple words, a lack of adequate pauses between speakers and a performance so flat water wouldn't slide off of it just destroys what could have been a decent book.
