I am a huge fan of Lauraine Snelling books and own all but the abridged ones.
This series was released before the others so I can say she improved a lot!
This series was not my favorite and the narrator was a big disappointment for me.
I recommend all her other books.

Story is good. This is not a romance. Reader was very annoying due to constant sniffling, sighing etc.

The story is really good. I read and listened. The reader was sometimes loud in breathing or swallowing, but she did a really good job with inflection. Very good book. Have read many by Ms Snelling. Hope to read more soon!

Intriguing Western about God's guidance

the narrator's voice was too sinfle-simensional and monarone in my opinion. I enjoyed the story though.

wasn't impressed by the narrator - too monotone .

I have enjoyed this first book so much as it was so different. I have read so many of Lauraine Snelling's books and this is a very different setting and characters. Is nothing that I could have imagined. Now on to Book 2 Pearl, Opal and Amethyst a second time also for the complete set.

This may come differently to many that have made comments about this Narrator, Alexander O' Karma. All comments were negative, and I am stating here that she was the perfect one to have been chosen. Listening to all the voices that had to be spoken and with different tones, child, men and women. There were several men and women in this story with definite speaking tones of them. The young children from a baby to a youngster. Plus, his son and so many others I do not need to name them all. She has nailed them just perfectly. I suggest that some of these past readers, to listen again to the books with what I have said in mind,
Just also want to add that she has a very appealing singing voice.

Ending with my post above, I do hope this helps with wonderful stories of four women. Have loved them so and Alexandra O'Karma narrating.
