Long before Step’s time, and even before the birth of Salvo, the world that would create the greatest heroes and monsters ever known was a much colder place. Ferals and Neverwarms stalk the frozen wastes, searching for their next victims. Food is scarce, and warmth is scarcer. The dogs that remain must fight to ensure their survival in the harsh reality that has sprung up from the ashes of the Masters’ manufactured world. Blood is law, and hope is all that many have left. However, a new threat is quickly emerging, the King of a doomed species intent on enacting revenge upon the canines who have brought ruin to his clan. The scope of his plans go beyond anything previously thought possible, and he will do whatever it takes to have his way. Up against him are five dogs from entirely different backgrounds, who will either have to unite against a common enemy to protect their icy home or die trying.
