The Cafaro girls run to Florida, then Kentucky, and fight to stay together. In Kentucky, they learn to live off the land and cherish what they do have, each other.

I had this audiobook in my wish list for a year. And here I am, having finished it. At the last fifteen minutes, I found myself tearing up, not with sadness but with joy. One of the ending philosophies taught me something important, and I am grateful to the author. The narrator is not the author herself but still very talented, obviously a professional voice actor.
