As a Tibetan lama and leader of Shambhala (an international community of 165 meditation centers), Sakyong Mipham has found physical activity to be essential for spiritual well-being. He's been trained in horsemanship and martial arts but has a special love for running. Here, he incorporates his spiritual practice with running, presenting basic meditation instruction and fundamental principles he has developed. Even though both activities can be complicated, the lessons here are simple and designed to show how the melding of internal practice with physical movement can be used by anyone - regardless of age, spiritual background, or ability - to benefit body and mind.

Really enjoyed this introduction to Meditation + Running. Wished it went deeper to learn more.
Good read if you get used to the VO casting.
Note for author/publisher: the author didn’t run on the Brooklyn Bridge since the NY marathon doesn’t go that way.

Good introduction to mediation/Running

I haven't finished and am not sure that I will make it.

The book is written by a tibetan teachi g about meditation relaxation. The narrator sounds uptight and about to bust at all times. It is quite jarring.

Slowing the tempo to .80 smooths it a bit. I am working of persistence so I will likely suffer thru.

I love this book. it's a fantastic listen that I will read again! I will also buy a hard copy so I can highlight and take notes on the concepts newer to me! I feel calmer during my walks/runs using his techniques.

Will buy a hard copy AND listen to again!

I always run with my headset and listen to an audiobook to take my mind off the fact that I'm running. Now, I can see how my running can be SO much more meaningful. Thank you!!
