The jungle doesn't just hide its secrets. It hunts with them.

Deep within the uncharted heart of the rainforest, a scientific expedition seeking a biological marvel pushes past the point of no return. The mission, led by an ambitious researcher, is to document a world untouched by humanity. But the crew discovers that something has been waiting for them. Something ancient, intelligent, and fiercely territorial.

When their boat's engine mysteriously dies, they are stranded in a realm shrouded by an unnatural fog. The silence is the first warning. The colossal, silk-like strands webbing the trees are the second. Now, stranded and cut off from the outside world, the team becomes the unwilling subjects of a new study—prey for a monstrous predator that has turned its kingdom into a terrifying trap.

This is a desperate fight for survival against a creature of nightmare. As the crew is picked off one by one, they must confront a terrifying intelligence that has been the apex predator for millennia. In a place where evolution has taken a different path, the only way out is through the heart of the nest.

Story is an old Syfy quality story wih ai narrating. Get ready for "They were no longer X... they were now Y..." being a consistent sentence mentioned in every part of this story.

There are good moments here and there. It's not a terrible listen, but very similar dialogue and character realization moments that bring the rating down.

If you like b-movie type sci-fi or remembering old bad Syfy movies of the Amazon rainforest. You might still get some amusement. Just be ready for 'They were no longer a group of researchers trapped in a spider's web... they were now the hunted...' or similar phrases strung about this story like candy.

"They were no longer X... they were now Y..."
