A Spiritual Warrior’s Art of Peace
By Sifu Matt Russo
Strength without compassion is brutality.
Compassion without strength is weakness.
This book forges both.
The world does not need more aggression.
It needs disciplined protectors.
Steel Wrapped in Cotton is a modern warrior’s scripture—uniting martial arts, Zen, the Bhagavad Gita, Christ’s teachings, and battlefield reality into a single path:
become dangerous, but governed by love.
This is not a book about violence.
It is a manual of responsibility for those who refuse to be victims—and refuse equally to become tyrants.
Inside, you will learn:
- How true power is rooted in restraint
- Why the highest victory is won before the battle
- How to enter Mushin—the calm, decisive flow state
- When to act swiftly—and when not to act at all
- How to see God even in the face of an enemy
- Why discipline, silence, and compassion are the warrior’s greatest weapons
It will not make you invincible.
It will make you responsible.
If you believe peace must be defended, not imagined—
if you seek mastery of body, mind, and spirit—
this book is your path.
Be steel.
Be gentle.
Be ready.
Welcome to the Art of Peace.
While I think there is some good information here, it does make me wonder if it was genuinely written or if a bit AI was involved. That said, if you're interested, I genuinely think this would be better to get as a physical or ebook rather than an audiobook. There are links to various YouTube videos that give examples of what the author is talking about, and they are laughable when performed by virtual voice. I've never heard "https" pronounced quite that way.
In all seriousness, though, I am able to recommend this for some of the information it gives, with the caveat the you'll want a physical copy, too. As an audiobook, it's not great.
