Saigon Nights is the third book chronicling the life of Thomas N. Grey. The first, Under Another Sun, follows Tom Grey during his last sixty days in Vietnam. Grey is a reporter for the newspaper published by the Army. It culminates during the bloody first day of the Battle for Hamburger Hill.

The second book, Welcome Home, follows Grey as he returns from the war. He attempts to establish himself as an investigative reporter. Love, and gunfights follow Grey as he reenters an American society that is finding its way through the tectonic shifts from the establishment of the steady world of the 1950s to that of rock music, free love.

This third story follows Tom Grey as he uncovers a smuggling ring that includes the trafficking of young women from Vietnam to the United States. It is a world before cell phones or the Internet. It is a world where nearly everyone smokes.
