Es ist tatsächlich eine Art "Sakrileg", mit dem Dan Brown seinen Erfolgskrimi beginnt, indem der Chefkurator des Louvre mitten in der berühmten Galerie ermordet aufgefunden wird. Die Szenerie brennt sich in das Gedächtnis und wirft Rätsel auf, denn um den Toten herum findet man mysteriöse Symbole.

Ganz klar ein Fall für Robert Langdon, den Experten auf dem Gebiet verschlüsselter Botschaften und geheimer Codes. So entlarvt Langdon mithilfe der jungen Kryptologin Sophie Neveu den Da Vinci Code und stößt dabei auf die Geheimnisse eingeschworener Gläubiger, Kunstexperten und einer undurchsichtigen Bruderschaft.

Wolfgang Pampel does an excellent job. But the experience is ruined by the annoying music. Even if the music were good, playing music over the narration is an inexcusable insult to Mr. Pampel and to the listener. Sadly this is not good music. For some strange reason the producers also decided to add random sound effects. Apparently we cannot be trusted to figure out that the characters are on a plane without some plane noise in the background. It is a shame because Wolfgang Pampel is an excellent performer. Avoid this mess and read the book instead.
