“What if Sally discovered Christmas Town instead of Jack?”
Sally has mostly loved her creepy hometown of Halloween Town. But lately, she can't help but want something more. In a place full of the frightening, you'd think living in the shadows wouldn't feel so . . . isolating. She knows she could do so much more if she wasn't always stuck in the lab of her creator, Dr. Finkelstein. Soon Sally is surprised to learn that the Pumpkin King, Jack, is longing for a change of his own. Determined to find a solution for them both, Sally follows a vision that could be the key to changing their fates.
But the more time Sally spends in the strange, jolly land of Christmas Town, the more suspicious she grows of the seemingly idyllic winter wonderland. What is lurking behind those dancing sugar plums? And what exactly does it mean to be put on the Naughty List? Will Sally be able to save the best of both towns—before it's too late?

This is one of the best Disney Twisted Tales I have read though I still prefer the original. Sally mostly remains as she should, the writer clearly had an excellent idea about their relationship and didn’t shatter or taint it as so many redone stories do. I don’t think it was necessary for Sally to open her own potion shop and get her own apartment in the end but I’m glad her love for Jack still remained. I always imagined Sally immediately moving in with Jack, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
The Christmas story was very clever, I would love to see this animated. Annabelle was my favorite character and I loved the twist at the end! Her relationship with Sally was very special. I loved how it showed two people can want such different things. Annabelle didn’t want to be a creepy doll like Sally but still accepted Sally for who she was. The coal monster going to live at Halloweentown was absolutely perfect! Overall, an excellent story. I prefer Jack as the main character but he and Sally were still very balanced and I’m glad that this writer knows how to write a heroine who isn’t an angry, ungrateful boss queen.
I highly recommend this book. Great writer and narrator! Perfect for you if you love Jack and Sally!
