Kimberly feels lost after her brother disappears from rehab and is frustrated that her parents blow off the incident. The discovery of his body destroys her world and the police chalk it up as another dead drug addict with mental health issues. His death doesn't even rate a news blurb.

Every aspect of David's world seems out of his control... except when he gives in to the violent urges that have plagued him since childhood. When the newspapers catch wind of his murders, dubbing him the Sandcastle Killer, the infamy of being labeled a serial killer becomes a draw all its own.

Kimberly’s anger grows alongside the screaming headlines and social media fervor. When the police finally acknowledge him as a victim of the Sandcastle Killer, she hides all the evidence she's collected. She’s not sure the police deserve to capture him and have the news hail them as heroes...and maybe the Sandcastle Killer deserves to see the inside of a grave rather than a cell.
