These reports come from many states and are told by the people who have met this elusive dweller of our forests. Al Capone’s incident was found in a very old article that was prepared for printing in the Chicago Sun Times newspaper, but languished all these years in an old trunk! It was given to us to reveal a humorous event at the gangster’s oft-used hideout in northern Wisconsin; long before of the public even heard of Sasquatch. There are several incidents that came from the personal journals of early gold miners that were submitted by their descendants; proof that the Bigfoot has been here all along. We started out to write our hiking book, and the name “Hiking Sasquatch Country” came about from so many hikers, campers and gold miners who began telling us about the mysterious animal they called “Sasquatch or Bigfoot.” The stories in this book came from those same people who not only convinced us to research records of this creature, but whom also contributed their own actual experiences. It turned out that we were absolutely astonished that so many, many people, from all walks of life, have either seen or had an actual encounter with Sasquatch. Welcome to Bigfoot country!
