This whimsical story tells the saga of the friendship between a very serious dragon and a goofy flying squirrel. It all begins on a raging river where a large egg is being tossed around by ferocious rapids. This precious egg’s fate is in the wings of the swan who snatches it out of the water. When a shiny blue dragon with very long claws emerges from the egg soon after, the swans are terrified. But Saturn, claws and all, soon wins them over.

After the swans teach him about the swan world, Saturn has an overwhelming desire to learn about the dragon world. So, he decides to find his dragon family. With the swans' blessings, he sets out on a topsy-turvy adventure through a beautiful yet sometimes scary landscape.

During this magical adventure, Saturn meets Rudy, a funny flying squirrel. These new friends face many challenges in their travels. They accidentally set an entire grove of chestnut trees ablaze; they try to figure out blizzard avoidance techniques, and when that fails, they quickly switch to blizzard survival techniques; and, as if that's not enough, they then have to trek the length of a jagged mountaintop. To top it all off (no pun intended), they have to claw their way out of a very steep cave.

From Granite Peak through Hyalite Canyon to Glacier Park, our heroes will use their wits to survive and have a little fun along the way.
