Book 2 lagged, but still good

This is book 2 in the alpha pack series....I have to say I was a bit disappointed but not so disappointed that I won't get book 3.

This is Eric's book, he is the fire starter and the wolf kidnapped at the end if book 1. Without giving too much away I will say there was a lot of contrived drama in this book which is a pet peeve of mine. The main premise is he doesn't want to tie his mate to him so he doesn't tell her about the mate thing...which is fairly ridiculous since if shifters don't claim their mates they die. When one of the characters actually says "yeah, why did we let him do that?" It was kind of a DUH moment for me. The way this plot unfolded was just too unlikely for me to like it.

Having said that I think it was still worth the credit because of the side stories that we got to learn more about. Want to know if they found Mica? Want to know who is behind the experimentation on the shifters and humans, want to know if they get a lead on anyone else that was "presumed dead", want to know what those funky winged creatures are, and what became of Berole????? That's why it was worth a credit! The romance was so-so the side stories kept me wanting more!!!!!

A new twist of Shifter romance

This adds some new twists to a fun genre. This is not the tale of a shifter pack but more of a military unit. It’s sexy and has some unique characters. Not as good as, The Immortals of New Orleans or The Phoenix or Mercury Packs, but a entertaining listen.

I enjoy this series so far. Very good narrator too. I hope next book is going to get more into blu.

Great Story!

I think I actually liked it more than the previous one. Likable characters, good story that advances the overall plot. Compelling emotional twists concerning what happened to Mika and how that will work out. Rowan is a strong, likeable female character. She is not ridiculously weak or over compensating as many authors tend to write lead female characters. In my opinion, that is a great addition to series and can't wait to start next book!
