This book was such an emotional story. Whistler (Wesley) is such a strong, protective man. He is just so wonderful. He takes care of the ones he loves at any cost. Charlie is suffering in silence in an horrible relationship. She silently cries for help but feels trapped and lost. I could feel her pain and suffering. She meets Whistler and feels safe and finally hopeful. Will he be able to save her? I loved everything about this beautifully written, painful yet inspirational story and that action-packed ending was perfect!
I loved it!

This was a sweet story, I guess, but definitely one I wouldn’t read/listen to again. It was very hurried and the insta-love between Whistler and Charlie was a bit much. The whole scene where she ties him up was eyeroll-worthy. It was completely unbelievable, and the words they said…absolutely cringey! I thought to myself this has to be some dream? Maybe one of a teenager? Nope. It was bad.
The end came so fast. I thought from the start this story had potential but it crashed.
No real steam. No real chemistry. No real MC stuff. Just flat.
Overall, if I had to spend a credit on this again, I definitely would not. In fact, I feel like I should request my money back…but it’s over. You win some, you lose some. Skip this one.
PS. Narrators weren’t terrible, but they aren’t anything to cheer about.
Ugh. It’s sweet and all, but….
