After an attack by the Klimnu, Eden's knocking on death's door. Pyra rushes her to the Denynso healer, and it turns out he has to do more than heal her. He has to bring her back to life. It's the first in Denynso history, and no one knows what to expect or how things will go for Eden.

A side effect of the healer's gift is a link bonding them together forever. Pyra is struggling to deal with his mate's attachment to Ciyrs and doesn't know what to do. The more he fights it the more the wall between him and Eden grows. If he isn't careful he'll lose her, and all she wants is for him to trust in her.

Later they find that wasn't the only side effect. Now Eden is changing in more than one way. No one really knows what's going on, and as her and Pyra's bond grows so does changes in her characteristics. When she continually has seizures Ciyrs does everything he can to figure out what's going on. He's got to save her or Pyra will have his head and a part of him would die too - if she did.

Will they figure out what's going on with Eden before she doesn't wake up again, and will Pyra get over his insecurities with his mate's and fellow brother's bond before she shuts him out for good?
