The narration was top notch.

The story has a very original beginning and twist on the original. I really enjoyed the first 2/3 of the book! But the last 1/3 dragged on way too long. I agree with the reviews that point out that Elizabeth was a bit slow when it came to accepting her feelings.

This story could have been 3-4 hours shorter. Too much time spent on Elizabeth being a bit of a dunce about Darcy; Lady Catherine being officious; and the too detailed "Companion" debate. Not sure I bought into Mrs. Bennet's ability to reform *that* much.

I also missed Jane in most of the book, we spend more time with Bingley than Jane and I thought that was a little weird. Also, Kitty basically disappears in the second half.

Great Idea, Great Narrator, Story too long

There’s a lot to like in this story: Elizabeth is a hero, Anne de Bourgh stands up to her mother, Lady Catherine changes her snobby ways, Mr. Bennet becomes a better father, Caroline hears some harsh words, and Wicked Wickham receives some justice.

Harry Frost gives listeners a most delicious Darcy, and a top-notch performance of the rest of the cast. He also does such a great life-like, spoiled-brat Lydia voice, that I want to reach into the screen and strangle her! There should be an award for that level of skill and talent! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I liked the story and the low angst. Visiting with my favorite characters is always fun. This tale does a good job of developing the characters in a new way. Overall there wasn’t a ton of surprises but enjoyable.

Enjoyable

Another pretty good story from Jann Rowland. Elizabeth discovers Anne de Bourgh in Meryton waiting in a carriage for Wickham and talks her out of eloping with her. She and Jane get her to Longbourn for refuge, but not before Lydia spills the beans to Wickham about her whereabouts. An entourage from London arrives in search of her that includes Darcy, Colonel Fitzwilliam, Bingley and… Lady Catherine.

What I liked best was the portrayals of the secondary characters, especially Mr. Bennet’s large-and-in-charge confrontation with Wickham early in the story. Lots of good teasing among everyone in this book too.

I especially loved Harry Frost’s interpretation of it all. Five stars for Harry

This one was very hard to put down. ODC were just what I hoped for. Where was hook up to Kindle?

No “Whisper-sync”! Why can’t I listen and read?
