The Best One Yet

I am reading/listening to the Mountainville series in order and this is the best one yet. There are a couple of story lines going on at the same time in this one and the suspense gets pretty intense, which is surprising given the subject matter. I love the character development that is happening. There are a couple of characters you love to hate that manage to redeem themselves when the chips are down. This series is a guilty pleasure for me. It probably won’t win any literary awards, but it’s full of entertaining moments, and that’s what really counts. I wish that there was a human narrator (I would happily pay extra), but if you give it time the AI narrator’s quirks just become part of Mountainville’s charms. This is a must listen installment for fans of Mountainville. As the AI would say: put on a fresh dye-pay, and fasten your shore-talls folks because once you hit play you’re committed for the full five hours.
