One little wager will determine their fate—a daring escape or falling into temptation with a rakish lord.

Lady Betsy Wilde’s first season was triumphant by any measure, and a duke has proposed—but before marriage, she longs for one last adventure.

No gentleman would agree to her scandalous plan—but Lord Jeremy Roden is no gentleman. He offers a wager. If she wins a billiards game, he’ll provide the breeches.

If he wins…she is his, for one wild night.

But what happens when Jeremy realizes that one night will never be enough? In the most important battle of his life, he’ll have to convince Betsy to say no to the duke.

I don't know how to reach whoever does corrections to the publishing but I hope they see this. Please correct the error about Diana's mother being the one who shoots Jeremy. Its Lavinia's mother. The reference is made incorrectly, numerous times throughout the book.

Good, but erroneous information from previous book

wonderful story with great characters. Beth and her two suitors vying for her hand. both worthy and opposite.

love the story

The story is good but needs a new editor. It was not Diana's mom who shot Jeremy. How does the surgery not remember what was written in the book before. You would think they would reread it. I've listen to two minutes of the next book and they already made a mistake on the story from previous books.

Story not consistent

Jeremy is recovering from the horrors of war while Boadicea is haunted by family history in this serial novel with its moving and empathetic plot, and engaging characters. Eloisa James’ elegant and insightful prose never overshadows the plot or the characters.
