And, on a somber note, listen to accounts of families forced from their communities during the German occupation of WWII in the Alsace and Lorraine, only to continue to struggle for survival after finally making their way home.

The author was a family therapist and this interest is dominant in the book. I was not interested in this. The food talk was what I bought the book for. The food talk was okay. I tried to return the book but I had bought it rather than using a credit.
