As Preston tries to establish himself as the new pastor of Pinecrest Bible Church, he quickly realizes that not everyone is welcoming of his arrival. The church board president, Walter Grayson, seems to have it out for him, and even the mayor, George Mitchell, is not who he seems to be.
Amidst the town’s troubles, Preston finds an unlikely ally in Abby Douglas, the owner of Abby’s Bakery and Coffee Shop. Though she’s still hurting from a painful divorce, Abby sees something special in Preston and offers him her friendship.
Together, Preston and Abby navigate the difficulties of life in Pinecrest, and as they work to bring healing to the town, they also find a second chance at love and happiness. But with danger lurking around every corner, can they overcome the obstacles in their way and create a brighter future for Pinecrest?
