Elliot's turn to find love

As the Griffin Force is accompanying Atwa to be tried for his war crimes, Elliot ends up in danger at the very beginning of "Second Guess." Separated from the rest of his team, he eventually connects with other forces in the area that are fighting for the same outcome that he is. And along the way, he meets his perfect match. What makes this story even more intriguing is that they have a connection to one another from the past, even though they have never met before.

As always, the author has done a great job of creating an action-suspense romance without seeming too far-fetched for the scenario our love interests find themselves in.

In each of the reviews I have written so far for the books in this series, I have always meant to comment on how awesome Tristan Wright is as the narrator of this series. It can be challenging for a male voice to effectively narrate female voices without sounding silly, and yet he has created clear and distinct voices for each of the characters in the series without any of them sounding fake or outrageous. His narration truly is amazing, and Julie Coulter Bellon has given him an incredible set of characters to work with.

Suspense

The narrator did a fantastic job with this story! A fast paced action packed Suspense in the Griffin Forces series. I would highly recommend reading this series in order.

Perfectly paced, exciting storyline

I really enjoyed listening to Second Guess. The story was quick moving and exciting. It was excellently read. The narration added to the enjoyment of the book. The story has struck a great balance of intensity without graphic descriptions of gore and the romance is clean. I have not read the other books in the series. I suspect characters from this story would have meant more to me if I had read the previous books but I was able to catch up to the basics of the series within one chapter. I would recommend this book to readers/listeners who enjoy action, and love without explicit content. I am looking forward to future books in this series.

Pageturner!!!

*****Audiobook Update*****

I just enjoyed this one again, but as an audiobook and the narrator was fabulous! Tristan Wright is a narrator whom I've listened to several books he's done and I've really enjoyed his style! I did great bringing this Griffin Force book to life! I enjoyed returning to this story and these characters. I'd forgotten some of the twists and turns since I'd last read the book a couple of years ago. It was fun to be surprised again!

Another page turner in the Griffin Force series by Julie Coulter Bellon! And let me tell you that it did not disappoint in any way! I recently listened to the audiobooks of the first 5 books of this series and powered through them because they were so good! I jumped from one to the next to the next in anticipation of this newest book being released. Seriously, these characters are what I love about reading books and suspense books! I love when characters carry over in series. That when we've come to know them and like the character, that it's not instantly over seeing them when their story ends. And I love watching characters work together, bringing their strengths and weaknesses to the table to solve problems. Especially high stakes problems. And the Griffin Force doesn't leave anyone behind. They have your back!

I was so happy to know that this book was going to feature Elliot! I've watched him in the background of the other books and was so hopeful that us readers would soon be able to learn more about him and see him shine in his element. And shine he does! Elliot starts his book out as a prisoner and being used as a doctor to care for the enemy that Griffin Force has been hunting. The stakes are high if he doesn't save the man, but they're even higher if he does. So it's really a no-win situation for him.

Enter Eden, a nurse, who is more than what she seems. She and Elliot are caught up in a deadly mission together and they have to learn to rely on each other if they're going to survive. But secrets can be deadly as well.

So many great twists and turns that had me holding on for the ride and possibly holding my breath off and on! Honestly! I'd be reading along and find I was holding my breath and had to remind myself to breath while turning the pages. Hahaha! I was just that absorbed in it all.

Oh and you're going to love the sweet romance throughout the story. *Happy Sigh* Ms. Bellon has written a book that will satisfy both the suspense and the romance reader in you!

Content: Clean. This book does deal with terrorists, prisoners of war, death, attacks, guns and such, and other aspects of war and suspense. But it is written very tastefully and clean. There are some kisses but nothing further than kisses. No language.

Clean

This clean military romantic suspense had a lot of violence, but it all fit in with the overall theme of this series. I liked the way the protagonists tried to create peace wherever they could, and the romance was sweet. The narrator did an amazing job, and I was able to visualize the story as it happened.
