Escaped! The ruthless CEO Russell, the person behind the plot that nearly destroyed the griffin’s world, has escaped from custody. Joined by his ex-mate Vaniss, the enormous jungle griffin Shrike, and Investigator Kwap, Harrell is determined to recapture the escaped human before he can do any more damage. It proves a task harder than any of them imagined.

In Russell the griffins face a foe unlike anyone they have dealt with before. Aided by three unlikely allies, using techniques alien to the griffins, he remains two steps ahead of his pursuers while leaving behind a trail of death and destruction.

But soon Harrell and the rangers will face a threat far more dangerous than one human on the run. Because something is coming to the griffin city of Gulf Port Bay, a hidden danger in their midst no one suspected, but every griffin feared. And if Harrell can’t stop Russell before he reaches it, his entire world will pay the price.
