Can’t wait to the next book!

I became invested very quickly. Fans of Sanderson will appreciate the character and world building of Second Soul. Michaels is a talented author and the narrator was a spot on choice to deliver this first in series novel. Now that the second book is out, I hope
The audio version gets here ASAP!

Second Soul Review

I really enjoyed this book, started of a little slow but pace and action soon kicked up, the ending was chefs kiss, left me wanting the next book right now!! Nice job Michael!!

Outstanding fantasy tale!

I don't normally read YA novels, but thought the Dreamons, monsters that devour one's soul in their sleep, were an interesting enough concept to pick up the book. Michaels drops just enough lore on these creatures to keep you interested without losing the mystery around them. The same can be said about Callum, the first main character we meet. He's on a hero's journey, and the mystery surrounding his circumstance isn't one easily solved. The narrative is spot on for the intended audience, and as a parent, I don't feel like there was anything I'd worry about my kiddos reading.
And when you pair all that with the excellent performance of the narrator, I found this to be a thoroughly enjoyable read/listen!

I’ve read the book but bought it on audible as soon as it was released. Very compelling story with original ideas. I can not wait for the 2nd book!

Magical world

An engaging debut novel that builds a unique and magical world. The characters are deep, interesting, and well developed. If you enjoy fantasy with a bit of creepiness or scare to it, this audiobook is a must!
