A Suspenseful Puzzle

There were two separate murders that occurred and I initially thought they were connected somehow. Many of the thoughts I had at the beginning turned out to be incorrect. As the book moved further along, I figured out some of the culprits, but things were so convoluted, it was crazy.

I can't understand why Vera is ALWAYS caught not carrying. She was a former cop and a current consultant to several law enforcement agencies. Not to mention that someone always wants to kill her.

I feel for Bent. He and Vera are finally together and she keeps walking into situations unarmed that anyone with common sense would understand was dangerous.

I have gotten used to the unnecessary introspective thoughts that make the book much longer, so I was very engaged with this book. I hope it's not the last Vera Boycott book.

Lots of Secrets

I did enjoy this book. I will say that Vera started to grate on me with how much she babied and protected her little sister. She really needs her to live her life and figure things out on her own. The secrets and the overall story were good. How everything played out with the main homicide was interesting. I will continue to read this series. I just hope it has less of Vera's family drama in it.

I enjoyed the story line and the whole series. The ending was a surprise! Highly recommend for an easy listen

Loved the twist and turns. Did not guess until close to end. Love the sisters.

Engaging story

DW keeps you on your toes with the Boyette sisters. Lots of twists and turns. I would recommend this book.
