She’s chasing a killer. And he knows exactly how to tear her apart.

When a third woman goes missing in the rustbelt town of Shadow Bay, Chief of Police Shauna Peterson faces a brutal truth. A predator is hunting in her backyard, and the victims are getting closer to home. The town wants answers. The state police want control. And Shauna’s daughter, Emma, is slipping away.

Then the latest body turns up, stitched with a red thread, deliberate and methodical, unmistakably personal.

Is a serial killer stalking the frozen streets of Shadow Bay?

As pressure mounts and the town’s buried secrets start to surface, Shauna must confront the scars of her past and the mistakes that could cost her everything. But the killer isn’t finished. He’s watching. Waiting. And he’s chosen his final woman.

Can Shauna stop a killer who understands her better than anyone else?

Secrets from a Serial Killer was a good listen overall. The narration was solid, and the character development worked well enough to keep me interested. That said, it didn’t quite deliver the level of tension I usually want in a thriller—it felt like it needed that extra spark to keep me on edge. For me, it lands at a 3/5.
