I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more about secular buddhism. The reading by the author was pleasant, as I always prefer to hear the author read their own words, but it wasn't the very best audio recording of a book I've ever heard. The timing could have been improved a bit. Overall: great book and would recommend it!

Great glimpse into secular buddhism

This book revealed to me that my nature is, and always has been, that of a secular Buddhist. I was miserable within religion, and now see that suffering as essential to my finding and recognizing this philosophy. Therefore: all is perfect. I enjoyed the author's reading of the material. Thank you!

Consider spending the short time it takes to listen to this little gem. Light, unpretentious, direct and to the point, well balanced, with excellent, non-dogmatic illustrations of Buddhism’s main points. It fills without being filling. I’ve recommended lots of books to family and friends, but this one I’ll consider giving as a gift, because it seemed like a gift to me when I was done.
