Amazing Plot, Thought, and Writing

I am always SO impressed with Ms. Laurie - she is probably my favorite author and has been for well over a decade. She is creative, responsive to social issues, and a delicate storyteller who leaves the reader feeling satisfied, resolved, and wanting another book. I cannot wait for the next book in this series she decides to put out, but until then, glad I can replay this one!

Calvary?

Please explain the difference of the word “cavalry” and “Calvary”. cavalry is about people fighting on horses, whereas “calvary” is related to religion and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Love these characters and the stories. So glad it’s always the same narrator. Although though being from Texas (austin) she pronounced a few words incorrectly. But it’s ok. Most people not from here do that
