unique fantasy story & great magic!!

Adrien has a wonderful range of voices, really enjoyable to listen to and an engaging story!!

Finished … but it wasn’t easy.

Kind of a really tough book to get into. Characters that you want to like but aren’t developed enough. Probably won’t listen to the next book, if there is one.

Powerful

Where there is power, there are struggles, yeah, three powerful POV‘s going through their own gritty crap in life! The magic system is intense!!! great story behind a great voice Adriel Brandt did a great job!!! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!!!

Intense and compelling

This dark and grim world was a blast to be a part of. I loved the gritty character driven story and the magic system was super fresh feeling and really interesting. I'm a big lore buff and I definitely got my fill and some with this book. Between the magic, the different creatures, and the world building, there's a ton of really interesting things going on to enjoy. I really enjoyed each POV as well. Sometimes multiple POVs can drag or kind of blend into each other making certain characters hard to distinguish between. I had no issues with that here.

The audiobook was done really well and I enjoyed Adriel's performance a ton! Looking forward to seeing where this series goes next.

Great morally gray characters and unique magic system

Didn’t dislike anything really. Hoping for a bit more world building in the second book but that’s about it!
