Self-Consumed contains the title story as well as Bagged, Tagged, & Buried. Both tales were featured in the out of print Journals of Horror anthology. They are both reprinted here for the first time and have been polished and edited. In Self-Consumed, a wealthy businessman who killed a young girl while drunk-driving discovers that guilt isn't the only thing that will eat someone alive.

In Bagged, Tagged, & Buried, project Sideboard is a secret division of the FBI that investigates cases of the bizarre and often unexplainable. The cases are called Black Files, and when the upper brass decide to dissolve the department, the downsizing turns gruesome.

This was a very interesting thriller vividly brought to life by the reader. Highly recommend and short enough to get through quickly!

Both of these stories were so engaging, especially since they were read by an excellent reader who perfectly captured the tone of the book!

Great stories, wonderfully read!

Worth the money! Both stories are great but I love Tony the character in the second story, totally unexpected ending and it is hard to surprise me. Loved it!

While I did not like the first short story as much as the second I felt the first it was a bit too "on the nose" for my liking but once you get past that part of "extreme guilt" the horror elements toward the end were good. I much preferred the bonus story while not really a horror story it had a much more suspenseful / thriller ending. When it came to the voice performance it was good and very easily understandable for me.

I Preferred the Bonus
