It’s very useful and very informative. If you ever have a problem with identifying yourself and understanding where or how certain thoughts processes work, especially when it comes to self esteem then this your book. It will help you stop identifying yourself with what your critic tells you, and help you break down the purpose for you critic and how to change it into a positive.

The best book on the subject I've seen. Very well explained, easy to listen and understand with every word having a purpose (no fluff that you have to wade through). It's a how-to book that gives the reasons for the suggestions. Breaks the suggestions down to how to steps with examples and then walks you through your doing the steps on your own and talks about possible problem areas including the pros and cons of some of their suggestions. As mentioned in other reviews, the first few chapters cover material everyone should read then you are guided to which of the remaining chapters are best for you. Excellent book. Make sure to do the applicable exercises that are where change happens. Or as said in a favorite quote "You will never change your life until you change what you do daily" Good luck.

If you are truly interested in change in your life, this book will help. I discovered by doing the inventories and analyzing my own feelings and habits, that what I thought was positive ways of coping with interactions with people, were actually negative and self defeating. I've recommended the book to several friends and family members.
