Through life we go through many different seasons from our youth to teens to middle age to marriage with kids; from childhood to adult. Each and every season we go through has a purpose and place in our lives, a meaning to how we came to who we are. Each individual season is a preparation for the next season. Each season brings teaching and learning and growth. Each season is like a stepping stone to the next level and season.

We may feel that our growth and learning is done in our senior season. We may feel that we have accomplished most of what we may have wanted in life, or we may feel that we didn't accomplish anything we set out to do.

In this season of life, I believe that all of that is true. In this season of life, we still have much to learn and much to grow and much to give. If you look at the word senior, at this age, you may be thinking senior citizen which, in most terms, means old or aged. But I like to look at the word as meaning mature, superior in stature, or the higher class like a senior in high school; one who has graduated and ready to go to the next level and conquer the world.
