Wanted to love this but couldn’t

I enjoy all the Jane Austen books and looked forward to hearing this one. Sadly, I found this narrator very hard to listen to and she took liberties with expression and tone that just did not work for me.

Wonderfully Read

Loved the book and I loved how it was read. I really enjoyed it. Totally recommend it.

Refined Romance and Economics

Jane Austin was a brilliant writer and it’s interesting to read about women’s lives not that long ago! Pragmatism had to play a role in romance to be sure, and women and men were under a microscope when it came to behavior. It’s a wonderful lesson in how life used to be. In many ways it was a more beautiful, pastoral and slower life than we lead now. I think I would have liked it, had I the money to afford the lifestyle!

This is a wonderful novel, so disappointed by the presentation.

The reader failed to capture the charm of the book. Sadly, will not listen again.

Bad narration

There is something about Audible books that gives me a headache. This one is particularly bad.
