Detectives Lee Madden and Craig McWilliams, successful and young, enlist the support of a former detective, Daniel Boone, to solve a series of connected murders. With a new victim discovered every day, the detectives must combine their collective experiences to track down the architect behind the murders, before their master plan is achieved.

As they get closer to discovering the pattern behind the murders, they uncover a link to a former case led by Boone. This was the case that led Boone to leave the police department. In a drastic turn of events, Boone takes it upon himself to prevent the serial killer from realising their master plan.
