In the gripping fantasy novel "Shadowborn," the world is a place where shadows hold the essence of magic and power. In the shadow-infested city of Umbra, young orphan Eira discovers her ability to manipulate shadows, a power that could either save or doom her world.

Forced to survive in the bleak streets of Umbra, Eira learns to conceal her abilities to avoid the attention of the shadow-wielding elite who rule with an iron grip. However, her life takes a dark turn when she inadvertently unleashes a powerful ancient shadow entity known as the Shadow King. Now pursued by both the Shadow King's minions and the ruthless enforcers of the shadow aristocracy, Eira embarks on a perilous journey to stop the Shadow King from consuming the world in darkness and chaos.

Along the way, Eira forms unlikely alliances with a disgraced shadow knight seeking redemption, a mysterious sorcerer wielding forbidden shadow magic, and a runaway noblewoman with secrets of her own. Together, they race against time to find a way to stop the Shadow King and unlock the full potential of Eira's shadowborn powers.

As the line between hero and villain blurs in a world where even the light casts shadows, Eira must confront her inner demons and make the ultimate sacrifice to save her world from eternal darkness. "Shadowborn" is a tale of courage, sacrifice, and the enduring power of hope in the face of overwhelming darkness.

too short to be so repetitive. some phrase repeating can be powerful but this felt like a writer who ran out of ways to say there was a rustling in the brush and x stranger from be fore appeared. had to stop listening by chapter 5 because it felt so redundant on details that only needed one explanation while neglecting scene set ups and being very shallow on description or back story. maybe I'm not the right audience but this is one fantasy novel I won't be finishing.

repeat stuff....
