Still the best Shadowrun novel ever.

The dual narrators, coupled with Nigel Findley's writing makes this the best catalyst audio book yet. 100% chip truth chummers. Wakarimasu ka!?

The best shadowrun book ever. Been waiting on this one

I own 5 copies of this novel, in varying conditions. I pick up copies of it whenever I come across one. Hopefully they will do the whole dirk Montgomery series. The only change I would make to this would be Michael Biehn doing the males voice work. But this VA does a great job. And the original art cover would be better than the one that’s pictured.

The quintessential Shadowrun novel

2XS is, in my opinion, the best Shadowrun work of fiction. It elegantly explains almost every major concept of the Shadowrun setting, letting you experience the breadth of the world through the main character's eyes. With just enough of an inner monologue, or character interaction, it adds color and background to things the listener would benefit from knowing. It has all that and a strong enough plot that hits on major plots from the game itself to earn re-reads/listens from long-time fans of SR.

That said, this is one of the best- produced and -performed audio books in the sci-fi/fantasy genre I've listened to. At least on par with several of the more popular series. The main cast does a phenomenal job, as well.
