The winter had begun. At Gunnaring Gap, the valiant Riders of Valon began their charge. And though Challerain Keep lay in ruins and butchery had led to the capture of Princess Laurelin, heroes strode forth from the ranks of Men, Elves, Warrows, and Dwarves to turn the tide of doom. And across the land ruled by unnatural dark, freedom flickered and burst into flame...Listen to another adventure in the Iron Tower trilogy.©1987 Dennis L. The narration is very good. I read all the books in Iron Tower and Silver Call in the 80's. One of my favorite series and why I love dwarven lore. Picked these up for a recent road trip. Well worth the coin.

I love this series. I read it in the 80's

Cameron Beierle is *the* master narrator of fantasy. If you haven't yet, start with David Eddings' "Pawn of Prophecy," but if you've finished those books, you could do a lot worse than this trilogy.

Good story, GREAT narration

I like more magic (the mages are all apparently hibernating at this point in the overall timeline), and the narrator reads very calmly, even through action, and I like a more exciting reading pace/inflection at the appropriate times.

Good, but I like McKiernan's other books better.

fun story, it makes me think of the Balders Gate and Never Winter Night Games.

fun story, read well with great timing.

I love this trilogy, just feel that the songs or sounds could be improved through the use of instruments.

Awesome book, just needs sound effects
