It was ok for being the middle of the story arc

Whelp book 2 of a 3 part arc in a 15 book series has been read and just like any book 2 of 3 it is the middle of the road for the overall story. In Shark's Pride we get more backstory, more character building, more world building and threads leading to larger plot points down the road.
I still didn't connect with the characters and could definitely tell it was written by two very distinct authors. I'm not sure where the story is going or why but I definitely intend to find out. If you like high-handed aplha billionaires and doormat heroines that need rescuing from EVERYTHING, give the Shark series a try. It's not for everyone but it does have some interesting elements in the trope.

Great Read

Shark’s Pride (Shark’s Edge #2) was a great read by Angel Payne and Victoria Blue. Sebastian is tormented by hidden enemies. They want to see his reputation go up in flames. As if it could get any worse, Abbigail has written him off for good. He gets an unexpected visitor on his doorstep and he can’t deny that Abbi is in danger because of him. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.

Really good book

Really good author combination and the narration is awesome. Really looking forward to the next book

Great Series Addition

This is definitely a middle book of a suspense romance. It draws the two main characters even closer while drawing in the danger too. I appreciated seeing our heroine’s backbone a bit more too!

Grumpy billionaire with wonderful narration!

Shark is a difficult character to figure out. He is the grumpy playboy billionaire with enemies. Abby is the hardworking, independent, somewhat innocent woman he can't get off his mind. They are very different, but their attraction is too strong to be denied. Narration by Erin Mallon and Jacob Morgan are wonderful and really bring the characters to life with flare. I'm already listening to book 3. Loved it!
