In an ancient time of fear and superstition, she stood apart because of her unusual blue eyes.

In a land of great stone cities and trackless wilderness, she sought her own unique path. But it was with the clan that accepted her - and in the heart of the magic man who saved her - that she found her ultimate destiny. Her name was Kwani. But legend would call her She Who Remembers.

I read these books back in high-school. I was excited to find these books on Prime. I absolutely despise the narrator, her voice and inflection while reading. Had I paid for this, I'd be requesting a refund.

What a wonderful story! I went to Mesa Verde twice, first as an adolescent when it touched my soul with its deeply spiritual aura. This story took me back there in a different time and thru the eyes of the characters. Thank you!

I could smell the sage and feel the heat of the sun in these pages

In this instance, the female protagonist evolved into a strong character. I enjoyed the background history since it dealt with a very elusive area of America's past. The romance part didn't overwhelm the story and I found myself eager to return to it whenever I had some spare time. I would likely listen to the follow up stories, or at least the ones which deal with this set of characters.
