Sheribaby is a captivating and insightful look at post-independence Jamaica through the eyes of a sharp, outspoken young girl. Set between 1969 and 1975, the novel explores themes of classism, political identity, family, and cultural traditions with authenticity and depth.

Blending nostalgia with social commentary, Sheribaby offers a vivid portrayal of Jamaican history while telling a universally relatable story of personal growth and change. It's an immersive listen that will resonate with those familiar with the Jamaican diaspora, but its themes are timeless and will appeal to a wide audience.

At its core, Sheribaby is about a little girl with a big voice—one that leaves a lasting impact.

I absolutely loved this book!!! I loved how realistic Sharon made the book, it definitely brought me back to growing up in Jamaica, and most importantly I LOVED that she actually spoke patois. That makes a big difference for me in making the book more believable. It’s hard for me to concentrate on an audible book which is supposed to be in a particular language and it sounds nothing like it. I hope Sharon is planning on writing another book soon because I can’t wait!😀

I’ve read the hard copy of this book and fell in love with it, but to experience the audio version in the in Author Sharon Gordon’s voice was amazing… it brought my into her story with visual imagery and presence as if I were present at the time the story was being lived out. These layers and depth of “Sheribaby” though rooted in Jamaican culture transcends culture and speaks to the heart of humanity as a whole. God Bless you Sharon Gordon, and thank you for “Sheribaby.”
