Sherlock Holmes and the Ghastly Gate

In the year 1889, a week after their case at Baskerville Hall, Sherlock Holmes and the newly married John Watson are called to Whitechapel to investigate a grisly triple murder. At first, this seems to set them on the heels of an opium gang meting out punishment for a botched burglary at the British Museum, but they soon find themselves embarking on a mystery that will lead them from London to Scotland to Norway and, ultimately, to the limits of their endurance both physically and mentally. Little do they realize that those horrors they faced in Shaleditch years before are once again lurking, not only in the dark recesses of the cosmos, but also inside them.

A woman who can write good Lovecraft!

Okay I must be a macho pig, cause not too long ago I thought women just couldn’t write Lovecraftian horror as well as men. But now, I’ve recently read three (3) women who wrote the best Cthulhu based stories out there. So, madam, I apologize for my ignorance, I was much younger and more foolish when I said it. This was an entertaining read, even if it does get a little “emotional” sometimes.
