FUN

I slept on this book in lieu of a few other Mil SF books, and it turns out that was a mistake.

Incredibly vivid action sequences, a mind-blowing story, and VERY memorable characters.

Literally pulls no punches.

Must-read/listen for fans of the genre!

Awesome debut

This was given to me for free and this does not affect the review.
Shockwave grabbed me from the prologue and held my interest throughout. I enjoy space opera and military sci-fi, so its definitely up my alley. The narration is perfect for this. Can we get him reading more sci-fi or space opera??? He brought each character to life. The action is intense, the plot fast and engaging.

another stunning book from an amazing guy. I especially liked the subtle mentions of Joe & Skippy and Jason & Nick's tagline. can't wait for the next installment.

Hard-Hitting Action on the Darker Side of Heroism

Spires and Brown deliver a great first entry in what promises to be a fast-paced action-packed military sci-fi series with some twists. Come for the hard-core person to person combat, stay for the sarcastic no-holds-barred shattering of the fourth wall. If you like Deadpool, there is an excellent chance you'll love Destota Valentine.

What a Fun ride

Loved it. this is a fun military.......comedy? i get alot of E-4 Mafia vibes from this book. War is never fun, but depending on your attitude, you can get through it alright. this book shows that well. Very interesting concept, Ive never been on the side of the dudes against Earth, but it feels like its headed that way. Keep it up, Mr. Spires! Cant wait to read the next one.
