Since We Fell follows Rachel Childs, a former journalist who, after an on-air mental breakdown, now lives as a virtual shut-in. In all other respects, however, she enjoys an ideal life with an ideal husband. Until a chance encounter on a rainy afternoon causes that ideal life to fray. As does Rachel’s marriage. As does Rachel herself. Sucked into a conspiracy thick with deception, violence, and possibly madness, Rachel must find the strength within herself to conquer unimaginable fears and mind-altering truths. By turns heart- breaking, suspenseful, romantic, and sophisticated, Since We Fell is a novel of profound psychological insight and tension. It is Dennis Lehane at his very best.

Perfect narrator for this novel. Dennis Lehane never disappoints and this one will keep you interested til the end. A little slow on the start up but so worth it once the action starts!

Excellent book!

The story progressed slowly for the first half. But I’m glad I stuck with it. The narrator was great!

Fantastic performance; somewhat slow going at first

I found Since We Fell engrossing and entertaining. It is suspenseful and a fun read with some compelling characters. I found it hard to put down, racing to plunge to the next scene and wanting to know what is going to happen next.

This book was ok but I found myself saying “give me a break” a lot. The main character goes from one extreme not being able to leave the house to another going on the run and killing people without explanation of how she found the inner strength or the tactical knowledge to do the things she was doing. It would have made more sense if those things were explained.

Okay but too unbelievable.

too many plot lines that end up leading nowhere. I picked this book because as an agoraphobe, I was hoping to have a relatable read and I did not.
