George Guidall is a fantastic reader

To my mind, the story is not among Hillerman’s best. Among other issues, it includes a lot of repetition. However, with such a fine reading, I was content to wade through even the less interesting passages.

A good story, however too much fluff at the beginning

enjoy the historical features of the Navajo and the other Indians at the Grand Canyon. However, there was too much fluff at the beginning too much dragging it out.

A cultural experience

Hillerman weaves his yarns through the blended cultures of white man’s law and the Navaho ideal of Walking in Beauty. Timeless storytelling.
